Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Looking for either a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for 9 hours a week or a Pscychiatrist for 7 hours a week.

The PROS programs at The Jewish Board help and support clients in achieving their life goals. PROS facilitates wellness and recovery for people diagnosed with mental illness by providing a comprehensive array of services. As a Psychiatrist, you would be responsible for:

  • Providing psychiatric services which includes the following: provision of a full behavioral health (including health) assessment; diagnosis; treatment recommendations; treatment planning; treatment; and follow up planning.

  • Utilizing a recovery-oriented team approach, participate in shared decision making with the client and other community-based providers

  • Welcoming and inspiring care that is person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and outcomes driven.

To qualify:

  • A Medical degree with a license to practice psychiatry in the State of New York is required.

  • A current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.

  • NYS OPRA status and a Health Commerce Account at the onset of employment.

  • Language competency for the population served is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
